Malcolm's old school friends from Prince Rupert School, Wilhelmshaven remember him as a happy, smiley lad with a wonderful head of ginger hair. Of recent years, Malcolm and Joan were always very welcome participants at the 47ers reunion lunches where the group shared memories of their time at the school in the early days after the war.
